From symptom and pain management to emotional and spiritual guidance, our hospice team works hand-in-hand with you and your loved ones. We’re with you every step of the way wherever you call home, including private homes, retirement communities, nursing homes, and assisted and independent living facilities. With JSSA hospice, your personalized team will be accessible to you 24/7.
Our Hospice team offers the following services:
- 24/7 medical oversight
- Emotional and spiritual support and counseling
- Nutritional guidance
- Pain management and symptom control
- Provision of medications, medical supplies, and durable medical equipment
- Assistance with personal care needs
- Visits by trained volunteers providing massage and music therapy as well as pet visits
In addition to our hospice services, we offer support for families and caregivers who are coping with the emotional and logistical challenges of life-limiting illnesses, including advanced dementia, congestive heart failure, metastatic cancer, and renal failure.
We offer bereavement support groups for parents, spouses, children, and other loved ones experiencing loss.
Hospice is usually covered by most major insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
