Transportation is a common challenge for older adults and their families. From getting to medical appointments and running important errands, to visiting friends and attending community events, older adults need access to reliable, affordable transportation in order to maintain their health, vitality, and independence.
Escorted Transportation
JSSA’s Brenner Transportation provides escorted door-through-door rides to and from appointments.
Wheelchair-Accessible Bus Rentals
Rent one for your group! Groups throughout the Greater Washington, DC region can rent our wheelchair-accessible buses, most of which seat 18-20 passengers.
All JSSA drivers have commercial licenses and are specially trained to meet the needs of older adults.
Connect-A-Ride
Connect-A-Ride is a free service that helps Montgomery County seniors and adults of all ages with disabilities find the transportation they need.
Senior Center Buses
JSSA buses provide free transportation to Montgomery County Recreation Department Senior Centers. This free service offers comfortable seating and trained drivers to those who live within defined service areas near the senior centers.
Curb-to-curb transportation is available Monday to Friday for County residents, aged 55 and over, to and from six senior centers:
VillageRides
VillageRides partners with villages and community organizations in Montgomery County and Prince George‘s County, MD that provide volunteer transportation for seniors and adults with disabilities who do not drive to take them to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and more.
