You can help bring personalized music to our patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Music has been shown to not only provide an enjoyable activity but increases cooperation and attention, reduces agitation and enhances engagement. JSSA requests donations of iPods and headphones to allow us to transform the quality of life for certain patients. Please call 301-816-2611 for more details.
In-Kind Gift Donations
JSSA does not currently accept in-kind gift donations such as clothes, furniture, mobility aid/durable medical equipment items or food.
Monetary and specific gift card donations are very important to supporting JSSA and the clients we serve. Monetary donations allow JSSA to be the preeminent coordinator and provider of a broad range of clinical and social services for individuals and families residing in the Greater Washington metropolitan area.
Gift cards allow JSSA to offer additional support to clients facing financial hardships so they can purchase necessary items with dignity.
For example, a Holocaust survivor may use a Giant gift card to afford his prescriptions, a family who recently lost their home to a fire may use a gift card to purchase new kitchen items, or a single parent can be provided additional support to buy her children gifts for the holiday.
