What does JSSA stand for?

JSSA stands for the Jewish Social Service Agency.

Does JSSA only serve the Jewish community?

JSSA is a nonsectarian, nonprofit health and social service provider. We serve people of all religious backgrounds, races and ethnicities, helping the youngest child to the most fragile senior, from individuals to entire families. Annually, JSSA serves and supports more than 31,000 individuals and families throughout the Greater Washington metropolitan area.

Where does JSSA provide services and what services are offered at each location?

JSSA provides services at four Greater Washington metropolitan area locations:

  • The Ina Kay Building, 200 Wood Hill Road, Rockville, MD 20850 (Main Office)
  • 6123 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD 20852
  • 9900 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20902
  • 3018 Javier Road, Fairfax, VA 22031

Who provides your counseling and care management services?

Our collaborative team of close to 200 full and part-time professionals are skilled at helping individuals and families resolve complex emotional, social and physical challenges. We do this through a wide range of assessment, counseling, care management and support services.

Can I just see a JSSA psychiatrist?

No. Currently, psychiatric services are only available to those clients already receiving counseling or care management services at JSSA.

Does JSSA accept cash, checks and credit cards?

JSSA accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

What insurance does JSSA accept?

JSSA accepts most major insurance for clinical services, as well as Medicare and Maryland Medicaid (JSSA does not accept DC or Virginia Medicaid).

  • JSSA is in-network with: Aetna, BlueCrossBlueShield, Cigna, MAMSI/MDIPA/Optimum Choice,
Medicare, Medicaid (Maryland only), Tricare,

  • JSSA is not in-network with: Coventry,

Does JSSA offer a reduced fee option?

A reduced fee may be available for those clients without insurance or for services not covered by insurance based on financial need.

Does JSSA have a privacy policy to ensure my confidentiality?

Yes, all communications with JSSA are confidential and will not be disclosed without your written consent. JSSA is committed to maintaining the privacy of your personal information.
