JSSA’s Virtual 50+ Employment Expos bring together great employees and employers

Jobseekers:

If you are age 50 or older and looking for employment opportunities, JSSA’s free Virtual Employment Expos are for you. Join us for workshops designed to help you during your job search and to hear from area employers who are age-friendly and hiring.

The Montgomery County and Northern Virginia Expos are held virtually (on Zoom) as interactive, online events. Each year, nine Employment Expos with age-friendly employers are offered between September and June:

  • Six with employers from Montgomery County, MD
  • Three with employers from Northern Virginia

Registration opens six weeks before the Expo date and is required and free.

 

Age-Friendly Employers:

  • Are you looking for smart, motivated, accomplished professionals?
  • Do you have three or more professional openings?
  • Do you have thirty minutes to talk about your organization and open positions?

If this describes your organization, we invite you to register for one or more of the free Virtual 50+ Employment Expos and find your candidates.

Montgomery County, MD

Montgomery County, MD, expos are on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.* 

2026: September 22 | November 17

2027: January 19 | March 16 | May 18 | June 15

The Montgomery County, MD, Virtual 50+ Employment Expos are generously funded by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.

Northern Virginia 

Northern Virginia expos are on Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.*

2026: October 15

2027: February 18 | April 15

 *Please note: For all of our Expos, end time may be extended to meet the needs of our employers — typically our Expos run to 3:00 /4:00 PM.

The NOVA Expos are generously funded by The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation.  

Howard County

The Howard County, MD, Virtual 50+ Employment Expo is sponsored by the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence and supported by JSSA.

Register for Howard County Virtual Expo

Helen Burns, Community Engagement Manager at Naborforce, is a Virtual 50+ Employment Expo Employer. Naborforce has hired several Expo participants (Jobseekers age 50 or better). Although they are a national organization, locally, they have locations in Montgomery County and Northern Virginia. Naborforce is an age-friendly hiring organization.

Reed Scarce is a former Virtual 50+ Employment Expo participant (Jobseeker). After attending an Expo, Robert applied at Naborforce and was hired by them.
