JSSA Mindcraft

Welcome to the JSSA Mind Craft Program!  We are pleased to partner with MCPS to bring a comprehensive approach to providing mental health services in school-based settings.

The JSSA Mind Craft Program is currently in 17 schools, providing the following services:

Short-Term, Solution-Focused Treatment (16 sessions)

  • Individual, Family, Group treatment
  • Referral to ongoing treatment at JSSA

Features:

  • Rapid access to Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Possible connection to ongoing treatment (if indicated)

Prevention & Wellness Services

  • Psycho-educational support groups
  • Skill development training and workshops for parents and school staff

Features:

  • Scheduled events – can be coordinated across schools
  • Respond to identified needs of the school community
  • Engages students/families who may not be ready for treatment

Information, Referral & Follow Up Services

  • Brief assessment and connection to resources
  • Follow-up check-in
  • Connection to parent and youth support through the Montgomery County Federation for Children’s Mental Health
  • Referral to Wraparound Montgomery

Features:

  • Facilitated by trained peer specialist
