Volunteering with JSSA's Employment and Career Services helps unemployed and underemployed professionals and individuals requiring supported employment find and retain gainful employment. These volunteer opportunities are ideal for people with backgrounds in human resources, teaching, counseling, writing/editing, special needs, and business. ASL and Spanish speakers welcome. Volunteer opportunities are available in our Fallsgrove, Rockville and Silver Spring locations:

Volunteers:

  • Research job openings
  • Assist instructors in work readiness classes
  • Review and write professional resumes and cover letters
  • Proctor and score vocational assessments
  • Provide clerical support
  • Conduct practice job interviews
  • Help complete job applications
