
February is Jewish Disability Awareness Month
The mission of Jewish Disability Awareness Month is to unite Jewish communities and organizations for the purpose of raising awareness and supporting meaningful inclusion of people with disabilities and their families in every aspect of Jewish life.
JSSA's professional team of clinicians, psychologists and psychiatrists work with you and your family to identify your particular area of need, to chart the right course of action and to monitor and coordinate individualized care plans on an ongoing basis. JSSA provides the assistance and tools to improve the lives of children, teens and adults with special needs and their families.
JSSA provides a broad range of comprehensive evaluation, care coordination, treatment and support for children, teens and adults with special needs and their families. Our specialized services include:
- Early assessment and evaluation
- Care coordination services for children, teen, adults with disabilities
- Family coordination for children, teens, and young adults with Autism spectrum disorders (autism, Asperger's syndrome, PDD-NOS)
- Individual, group and family counseling
- Specialized couples counseling and parent support
- Workshops, support groups and parent training programs
- Escorted transportation to medical appointments
- Assistance with funding and benefits applications
- Life-long advocacy and care planning
- Resource identification and referrals to community services

Information about JSSA's fees and charges is available upon request. JSSA accepts insurance and managed care plans including Medicare and Medicaid for many of its services and can provide financial assistance on a sliding fee scale based on need. Some of JSSA's services are only available on a full-fee-basis.
