Life Skills Training For: Young adults with special needs who are seeking the skills to live independently. Service description: JSSA's life skills training program helps individuals with developmental or physical disabilities become more independent. Individual instruction, based on the individual's skill level and needs, helps adults learn and practice skills needed to meet everyday needs, such as: Meal planning, shopping and cooking Managing income and expenses Keeping a calendar Managing time Using public transportation Organizing living space Improving social skills
Service providers: Case managers, vocational rehabilitation counselors and clinical social workers. Service location: JSSA offers this service in our Maryland locations. Payment: Information about JSSA's fees and charges is available upon request. JSSA accepts full fees for this service. JSSA can provide financial assistance on a sliding fee scale based on need.
