Life Skills Training For: Young adults with special needs who are seeking the skills to live independently. Service description: JSSA's life skills training program helps individuals with developmental or physical disabilities become more independent. Individual instruction, based on the individual's skill level and needs, helps adults learn and practice skills needed to meet everyday needs, such as: Managing income and expenses Managing time; using schedules and calendars Organizing and completing paperwork, mail and email Managing living space and completing household tasks - Planning and shopping for meals
Using public transportation Communicating for others and advocating for oneself
