Premier, a nonsectarian, not-for-profit subsidiary of JSSA, is a private duty home care company that serves hundreds of families each year throughout the Washington metropolitan region. Premier specializes in developing, delivering and coordinating comprehensive care management solutions that allow older adults to live independently - and with dignity - in the comfort of their homes including: private homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, hospitals or hotels.

Premier coordinates a full array of home support and homecare services that include:

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessments
  • Home Safety Assessments
  • Medication Management
  • Care Management
  • In-Home Mental Health Therapy through JSSA clinicians
  • Care Coordination with Physicians and Other Care Providers

Programs are flexible and allow for daily, weekly or around-the-clock care. Premier is licensed as a residential service agency through the Maryland Office of Healthcare Quality, and all of its caregivers hold licenses or certifications from the Maryland Board of Nursing. Caregivers receive ongoing training and instruction so they can embrace Premier’s philosophy for delivering compassionate, high-quality care. DHMH RSA License #R1130. Additionally, registered nurses monitor clients’ clinical status so they can adjust caregiver plans as necessary.
 
Premier has professional staff working from the office who provide constant support to the field staff. These professionals advise, direct and evaluate the caregivers working in clients’ homes. Staff members (not individuals from an answering service) are on call to handle concerns or emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
