JSSA is an approved provider of Core of Knowledge (COK) Workshops for Child Care Providers in Maryland, Virginia and DC (MSDE/OCC Approval Number: CKO-3282. OSSE/ECE Trainer Approval Number: 017-F10). 

JSSA’s Core of Knowledge workshops are lead by a team of expert clinical early childhood specialists. Every JSSA specialist has experience in on-site pre-school consultation. In addition to trainings at JSSA's Fallsgrove, Rockville location, our team would be delighted to discuss scheduling a JSSA Core of Knowledge training on-site at your facility.

Effective Communication Skills Between Child Care Providers and Families: Help Parents Help You
Identify ways to maintain ongoing communication, address communication roadblocks and express concerns in a positive way.

Hours: 3 clock hours.

COK Trainings Policies and Procedures

Registration: Registration may be done in advance by mail, online via credit card or PayPal or over the phone by contacting JSSA’s Training Department. Onsite registration may be available, and is dependent on space. Attendee should arrive early to the training to register onsite.

Fees: Fees will be collected by credit card, check, or cash. Payment is required at the time of registration.

Cancellation: JSSA reserves the right to cancel any course, seminar or workshop that does not reach minimum enrollment. In such cases, registrants will be notified and all fees submitted will be refunded in full.

Refunds: In the case that a registrant cannot attend and notifies the JSSA Training Institute up to three business days prior to the training date, refunds will be given minus a 10% processing fee. Participants wishing to schedule for a different JSSA training may be issued a credit and will not be subjected to the processing fee.

Successful completion: In order to receive credits and to complete the course, participants must arrive on time, stay for the entire training, and successfully complete the post-test assessment or other evaluation tool.

Issuance of Certificates: Certificates will be issued following successful completion of post-test assessment or other evaluation tool.
