Frank's Story

When a long-time patient began to fail, a Bethesda oncologist referred Frank's family to JSSA's hospice care.  The doctor recommended JSSA because he knew that JSSA offers remarkably compassionate and supportive care to people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds. Emphasizing quality of life, JSSA's skilled interdisciplinary team of hospice professionals was available around the clock, providing personal care for Frank and caregiver training for his family. With JSSA's support, Frank was able to have a dignified and comfortable death in his home. JSSA then helped his family deal with their grief. Their loss was eased by the heart-felt support Frank had received.
