JSSA is seeking a full-time Director of Jewish Chaplaincy Services (JCS) to oversee an exciting program providing an array of pastoral services to Jews in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and prisons. The Director will be responsible for supervision/mentoring of chaplains, program development, maintaining connections to area facilities and congregations, administrative duties, as well as some direct chaplaincy services. The Director of JCS also acts as administrator of the Washington Board of Rabbis and consultant to the Hebrew Free Burial Society. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Immediate opening in JSSA's Employment and Career Services Department for an employment support specialist at our Fallsgrove location. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to provide competitive employment and retention services to individuals with disabilities. Good customer service and communication skills are necessary, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rigid deadlines is required. The ideal candidate will have a BA or BS in vocational rehabilitation or a related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 1-3 years experience working with individuals who have disabilities. Knowledge of DORS preferred.
JSSA is the hospice to turn to for exceptional end-of-life care that supports dignity and comfort for individuals and provides peace of mind to their families. Positions are available for full and part-time case management, weekend and PRN staff. Low nurse to patient ratio. Hospice experience is preferable; will mentor clinician with strong clinical skills.
Clinical Caseworker II/Fallsgrove
JSSA has an opening for a full-time licensed clinician position in our new Fallsgrove headquarters. Candidates must provide individual, family and group therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Minimum three years clinical experience, LCSW-C license and some evenings will be required. Clinical Social Worker/Northern Virginia (2 openings) Immediate part-time and full-time positions available for clinical social workers in JSSA's Northern Virginia office. Candidates should have experience providing individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults and have experience with ADHD, social skills training, and cognitive behavior therapy. These positions also involve consultation with community organizations, schools, and religious institutions. Afternoon & evening hours required. Virginia licensure - LCSW required. Part-time or full-time position in JSSA's Fallsgrove office for a well-organized, motivated individual to join the Marketing team. Primary duties and responsibilities include writing all communication pieces – both internal and external (press releases and articles for placement in external publications, direct mail fundraising letters, internal and external newsletters, brochure, flyer, advertisement and website content, biographies, outreach letters and email communications, event speeches, etc.) Good interviewing and reporting skills and the ability to research and write on tight deadlines are essential. Superior fact-checking and proofing skills are required. Proven ability to build and manage relationships. Must be a team player and have excellent verbal communication skills.
