Holiday Basket Teams deliver holiday packages of food and other items at Passover, Rosh Hashanah and Thanksgiving. Deliveries take place on a Sunday a week or two before the holiday begins. Volunteers pick up the baskets either from JSSA's Montrose Road office in Rockville or another nearby location and deliver them to families in need who are awaiting their arrival. This is a wonderful volunteer project for young families who want their children to experience the rewards of volunteering, or for school or synagogue groups.

Rosh Hashanah Basket Delivery
JSSA in partnership with Ohr Kodesh and other area synagogues, will assemble and deliver 500 kosher Rosh Hashanah baskets to Jewish families in the Washington area who need our assistance to observe the holiday. The baskets will include challah, apples, honey, gefilte fish, candles, honey cake and other holiday items.

Join this community-wide effort. Interested individuals, families and groups can help make this Rosh Hashanah a little sweeter for those in need by delivering a basket, sponsoring a basket for $36, or both.
