 February is Jewish Disability Awareness Month
The mission of Jewish Disability Awareness Month is to unite Jewish communities and organizations for the purpose of raising awareness and supporting meaningful inclusion of people with disabilities and their families in every aspect of Jewish life.

For more than 25 years, JSSA clinical social workers, therapists and vocational counselors fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), have provided counseling and case management services for children, teens and adults in our community who are deaf or hard of hearing. Information about JSSA's fees and charges is available upon request. JSSA accepts full fees for this service. Major insurance and managed care plans may cover some of these services. Medicare and Medicaid are also accepted.  JSSA can also provide financial assistance on a sliding fee scale based on need.  Some clients may be eligible for DDA or DORS funding. Services may also be supported by grant funds from Montgomery County Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for Montgomery County residents.
