Our help.  For more than 100 years the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA), a private non-profit community organization, has exemplified Jewish values by reaching out and helping everyone in the Washington metropolitan area who needs us – regardless of religious background, race or ability to pay.  We make a lasting difference in the lives of more than 15,000 people a year through our wide range of counseling, educational and career services, in-home support, hospice and nursing care and social services. Whenever you, your child or family requires specialized help in meeting emotional, social or physical challenges, JSSA’s professionals are here. We work in close collaboration with healthcare providers, school staff and other professionals to meet each individual’s and family’s needs. The JSSA professionals who provide our integrated services include exceptionally well-trained and experienced social workers, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, case managers, counselors, nurses and other seasoned caregivers. 

For a full range of services and programs.  JSSA’s nonsectarian programs and services help the youngest to the oldest in our community overcome life’s difficulties.  For each individual, JSSA professionals develop individualized programs that coordinate a variety of assessment, treatment, intervention, and support services.

JSSA accepts full-fee-for-service as well as most major insurance and managed care plans. JSSA also accepts Medicare and Medicaid and can provide financial assistance on a sliding fee scale based on need. Information about JSSA's fees and charges is available upon request.
