Last year, JSSA served and supported approximately 25,000 individuals and families throughout the greater Washington, DC, area by providing:
- Mental health evaluation and treatment for more than 1,700 children and teens.
- Educational and interest free loans for 35 students.
- Therapy for 1,250 adults and couples.
- Services and support to 338 individuals with special needs. Approximately 700 family members also received JSSA support.
- Career counseling and employment services for 296 individuals and support services for 440 individuals.
- Services and support that helped more than 1,500 seniors to remain independent in their own homes. JSSA also delivered 23,319 kosher Meals on Wheels.
- Services to 210 Holocaust survivors.
- More than 95,000 hours of services to 379 individuals through its Premier Homecare program.
- Hospice care for 348 patients and support for close to 700 family members, transitions care for more than 90 patients, and support for 180 family members.
- Chaplaincy services to 2,700 individuals in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, assisted living facilities and prisons.
- Synagogue liaison services to 2,615 individuals.
- 583 financial assistance grants for individuals and families in crisis.
- Continuing education for approximately 400 professionals through its JSSA Training Insitute.
